Noble Experiment Mixes Style with Spirits
A tailor shop turned speakeasy
Bathtub gin and a flapper dress — it didn’t take much to get the joint jumpin’ back in the day.
Modern guys and dolls can still get their fix at Miami Beach’s latest style outpost, Noble Experiment.
Located inside Mark’s Quality Cleaners, designer Ashley Liemer’s tailor shop and showroom specializes in custom menswear and offers a variety of ready-to-wear shirts, Prohibition era-inspired suits, and accessories (cuff links, stick pins, and magnifying glasses). Dames get in on the action with custom evening attire. (Liemer got her start designing lingerie and bespoke bridal wear.)
Outfitted with black and white walls, wooden accents, and vintage suitcases, the tiny space doubles as a speakeasy; we suggest sipping a specially made single-barrel Kentucky bourbon while perusing the exotic skin bags, one-of-a-kind accessories, and reconstructed garments.
Now that’s puttin’ on the ritz.
Noble Experiment, 700 West 51st Street, Miami Beach (917-291-0155).
